How To Reach Sivasagar

If you want to reach Sivasagar by Air, the nearest International Airport is Guwahati. Sivasagar is 350 km from Guwahati and very frequent Bus services are available from ASTC Bus stand, Paltan Bazar, during morning(7 am to 10:30 am) and evening(7 pm to 10 pm) time. The Paltan Bazar Bus stand is around 25 km from the Airport and a taxi can be hired for the same.

Other two Domestic Airports near to Sivasgar are Jorhat(60 km) and Dibrugarh(110 km). There are daily flights from Guwahati, Kolkata and Delhi to these airports. Very convenient road transportation is available from these two airports to Sivasagar.

By Train
If you want to reach Sivasagar by Train, the nearest Railway Station is Simaluguri. It is 16 km away from the Sivasgar town and Taxi/Bus services are available to reach Sivasagar. But the most frequent train service is available from Guwahati to the other parts of the country. So it is always convenient to reach Guwahati by any train and take a Day or Night Bus service from ASTC Bus stand which is just adjacent to the Guwahati Railway Station.
