In today’s busy life style, we are constantly on the look out for a quiet place during vacation where we get to spend some quality time with our near and dear ones in a beautiful, relaxing and refreshing ambience. Your search ends here at the house boats. An intricate network of lagoons, lakes, rivers, backwaters and beaches, the picturesque landscape of Kerala offers a fabulous cruise that would rejuvenate you. Many tourism holidays give you personal care and attention. You will be provided with A/c car and top class accommodation in top-notch hotels. There is no question of putting you in any group. You have wide range to select from.

• Hill stations
• Lakes
• Beaches
• House boats
• Homestays
• Ayurveda
• Yoga

The Houseboat in Kerala is giant country crafts. Once they ruled the backwaters, heavily loaded with rice, coconut and other commodities. But in the recent times, the Kettuvallams have been replaced by other modern modes of transport, leaving them to neglect and decay. Houseboats today are a familiar sight in Kerala with Alleppey alone supporting around 150 Houseboats on its backwaters. Kerala’s Kettuvallams are very famous and are also known as ‘Knot-boats’ because of their unique feature of using only coir knots to bind wooden planks together without using even a single nail. Coir knots hold this Kerala Houseboat together. Modern Houseboats offer all the luxuries of a five star hotel. From furnished bedrooms to modern toilets, cozy living rooms to even a balcony.

The first blogging unconcerned event in Kerala called BlogCamp Kerala 2008 is scheduled to be conducted on the 16th of August 2008 at Alleppey, Kerala. The event is hosted by the Kerala Tourism, who has provided us with the venue for the event. BlogCamp Kerala 2008 has the unique distinction of being the first BlogCamp in the world to be conducted in a Houseboat.
